Performance Short Ram Intake System 69-6031TS from K&N Air Filters is designed to increase horsepower and torque for 2011-2013 Mazda 3 2.0L non Skyactiv engine models

The 2.0L non Skyactive engine found in 2011, 2012, and 2013 Mazda 3 models was designed for fuel efficiency not mind blowing power. However, that doesn’t mean that owners of 2011-2013 Mazda 3 models with the 2.0L non Skyactiv engine don’t want to add a little more zoom zoom to their Mazda 3. By simply reducing air intake restriction the 2011-2013 Mazda 3 with a 2.0L non Skyactiv engine can perform better. Owners seeking some extra boost in the power department can now install the 69-6031TS K&N performance short ram intake system. By replacing the maze of factory air intake tubes, stock air filter box, and disposable car air filters, K&N intake systems are able to reduce restriction and increase power.

K&N Short Ram Intake 69-6031TS is powdercoated in a silver color to protect the tube and look good under the hood of the 2011-2013 Mazda 3 2.0L non Skyactiv engine models

The K&N short ram intake system for the 2011, 2012, and 2013 Mazda 3 models with a 2.0L non Skyactiv engine is precision-engineered to be a simple-to-install performance add-on. The backbone of this intake system is a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube which helps to minimize restriction, allowing your engine to breathe easier. A durable silver color powder coated finish is applied to the tube, providing an attractive appearance under the hood that will look great for years to come.

On the dyno, 69-2528TTK produced an estimated additional 13.86 HP at 5,273 rpm and a near equivalent 12.21 lb-ft of torque at 4,579 rpm on an already powerful 2013 Dodge SRT Viper

A 2011 Mazda 3 with the 2.0L non Skyactiv engine gained an estimated 5.58 more horsepower, and 4.28 lb-ft of torque by installing a K&N Air Filters short ram intake system

K&N equips the 2011-2013 Mazda 3 2.0L non Skyactive short ram intake with the oversized RU-4960XD reusable air filter, providing a large surface to help increase airflow while providing outstanding engine protection. This washable air filter is made with K&N’s famous high-flow air filter media so it’s washable and reusable and can go up to 100,000 miles between cleanings, depending on driving conditions. To top it all off, a heat shield shrouds the air filter under the hood, helping to deflect engine heat away from incoming air.

All of the design features of the 2011-2013 Mazda 3 2.0L non Skyactive short ram intake system work in harmony to deliver increased performance. On the dyno, 69-6031TS produced an estimated additional 5.58 horsepower at 5743 rpm and a useful 4.28 pound-feet of torque at a low 3364 rpm over the factory air filter box, and air intake tubes system when installed on a 2011 Mazda 3 2.0L.

This K&N short ram intake system is an excellent upgrade for 2011, 2012, and 2013 Mazda 3 models with a 2.0L non Skyactiv engine. With simple to follow instructions and no need to make any other modifications to the vehicle, you’ll be on the road in approximately 90 minutes with more horsepower under your right foot.

If all that weren’t enough, K&N backs its short ram air intake systems with the industry-leading K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty®. If you’re looking to add a little more zoom zoom to your 2011, 2012, and 2013 Mazda 3 with a 2.0L non Skyactiv engine, look no further than a K&N Typhoon short ram intake system. K&N Air Intake System 69-6031TS is designed to provide a lifetime of increased power on the following Mazda models:

2013 Mazda 3 2.0L L4 F/I - Exc. Eng. Skyactiv

A K&N Replacement Heavy Duty Diesel Air Filter is constructed with extra strength and reinforcements to withstand the harsh conditions that can be found in commercial use. K&N Hybrid Dryflow Air Filter media is pleated and placed between two powder-coated aluminum screens which is then held between a top plate or molded urethane end cap and molded urethane seal. These ends are molded into a powder-coated steel cage to help withstand extreme temperatures and pressure. This means that a K&N commercial grade diesel air filter will not collapse or lose its seal under the high levels of compression that may be encountered in large turbo diesel applications.

The robust Dryflow Air Filter media is comprised of lofted non-woven synthetic fibers to create a three-dimensional medium capable of providing high airflow, dirt capacity, and filtration efficiency without sacrificing engine protection. K&N Heavy Duty Diesel Air Filters are designed to improve performance and when air filter restriction becomes too high, simply wash the filter and it’s ready to go again.

K&N Replacement Heavy Duty Diesel Air filtersare designed to be easily washed and reused. These filters are nearly indestructible and after applying the special K&N degreaser 99-0638, they can be sprayed clean with pressure washers, and power sprayers. The large format 24" X 18" shop calendar, number 89-11493-15, is still available and now features a yearly calendar on every page

The K&N Limited Edition Calendar first graced shop walls for the 2011 calendar year and the stunning ultra-high-quality large format print and photography made the calendar an instant hit. Each year since, fans of the K&N calendar have anxiously awaited the release of the newest edition. Because of this high demand, K&N has opened the limited edition K&N 2015 calendar up for preorder.

New this year is the option to buy the calendar in two different sizes. Like years past the large format 24" X 18" shop calendar version, number 89-11493-15, is still available and now features a yearly calendar on every page. New for 2015 is the smaller 14" X 10.5" more traditional size wall calendar, number 89-11853-15. Sometimes the large format shop calendar just won’t fit in smaller spaces such as offices or cubicles. Plus the smaller calendar places more emphasis on days of the week making it equally as functional as it is attractive.

This year, K&N worked with Creations N’ Chrome, Yoshimura Suzuki, Lexani Wheels, Rolands Sands Design, and many more.

Because the K&N 2015 calendar will be printed in two sizes, the large format K&N calendar 89-11493-15 will be produced in very limited quantities. Larger quantities of the 14” x 10.5” K&N calendar 89-11853-15, are being printed, but once they’re gone, they’re gone. With his 2014 NHRA Super Gas title, Luke Bogacki stands alongside an elite group of drivers who have claimed championships in multiple categories, including Blaine Johnson, Dan Fletcher, David Rampy, Peter Biondo, Jeg Coughlin, Jr., Kenny Bernstein and Gary Scelzi

K&N Air Filters sponsored NHRA Super Gas driver, Luke Bogacki, has officially claimed his second NHRA National Championship. Bogacki has followed up his 2013 NHRA Super Comp title with a commanding run in NHRA Super Gas taking the crown for 2014. He seemingly clinched the title months ago, with only two other drivers presenting a challenge. Bogacki amassed an incredible 731 points toward the championship, which is the highest points total in the 33 years of NHRA Super Gas history, and broke an 18-year old record.

Luke Bogacki was on a hot streak in 2014 earning back-to-back victories at the NHRA Kansas Nationals and the Division 3 LODRS event in Chicago as well as claiming the win at the 17th annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by Super Start Batteries

With an NHRA Super Gas championship under his belt, Bogacki has joined an elite group of NHRA drag racers. Only 15 drivers have won NHRA championships in multiple categories. “I was on top of the world when we won the Super Comp title last year,” said Bogacki. “Winning a second championship is both equally exciting and hard to believe,” continued Bogacki.

Luke Bogacki drives a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette bodied Charlie Stewart Race Car powered by a 582 cubic inch Huntsville Engine & Performance powerplant. His car runs in the 9.90 second quarter-mile Super Gas index at speeds in excess of 168 MPH. The RacingRV’s backed team relies on K&N products to protect the massive Brodix aluminum block engine. The 1963 Corvette Super Gas car uses K&N Carbon Fiber Hood Scoop 100-8508, fitted with a K&N air filter 28-4210, to keep debris out of his carburetor. K&N Wrench-Off Oil Filter HP-3002, filters the Lucas engine oil to help keep it clean.

“I guess saying that everything fell into place this season is an understatement,” Bogacki laughed. “I drove well for the most part, but I wouldn’t say that was the determining factor. We had a great car, and I’m surrounded by a lot of really smart people that I’ve come to trust and depend on.” Bogacki was quick to credit a long list of marketing partners that are crucial to his success. “Obviously I need to give credit to RacingRV’s, K&N Filters, the major partner on our Super Comp car, and ThisIsBracketRacing.com. Each of these companies took a chance on our team. To deliver for them on and off the race track is a great feeling.”

Walking into the Nelson Racing Engines shop in Chatsworth, California is like taking a step back in time, as well as leaping into the future. It’s a place where old school machinery and skill collides with new age computerized technology and advanced thinking. Tom Nelson, who took his passion for horsepower and turned it into a career, embodies the same blurred concept of time as the shop he opened in 1995. Tom seems as if he was born at least one generation too late. Had he been born earlier he would have stood shoulder to shoulder with legends of automotive aftermarket performance parts such as Ed Iskenderian or Vic Edelbrock. Tom’s work in the industry is certainly on-par with these early pioneers.

At the same time, Tom’s work with Nelson Supercars likens to other early automotive pioneers such as George Barris, creator of the Batmobile, or Ed “Big Daddy” Roth. Nelson’s absurdly powerful twin-turbo, twin-intercooled, and twin-fuel injected engines look like something out of a Sci-Fi movie. After dyno-tuning engines capable of 2,400 horsepower, he’ll take that beast and stuff it into an equally radical custom car. Tom Nelson, like Barris or Roth before him, is somewhere between a mad scientist on par with Doctor Frankenstein, and a certifiable genius similar to Stephen Hawking.

Tom Nelson started with a 2,000 pound block of billet aluminum and eventually whittled it down to a two piece, dual octane, billet gas tank weighing in at approximately 180 lbs.

The NRE Maximus 1968 Dodge Charger has been seen before at the SEMA show and will debut in the upcoming Fast and Furious 7 movie, but this year at SEMA Tom will have perfected it

One of Tom Nelson’s latest creations is a 1968 Dodge Charger nicknamed “Maximus”. The Nelson Supercars Maximus 1968 Dodge Charger has been seen before at the SEMA show and will make hearts race during its big screen debut in the upcoming Fast and Furious 7 movie. Never content to leave well enough alone, Tom Nelson decided to tear down and rebuild the 1968 Dodge Charger for the 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show coming up in the first week of November in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Noteworthy improvements being made to the NRE Maximus Charger include chassis upgrades said to give the Charger 400% more rigidity. Perhaps one of the most mind blowing enhancements being made is the billet aluminum machined custom fuel tank. Tom started with a 2,000 pound block of billet aluminum and eventually whittled it down to a two piece tank weighing in at approximately 180 lbs. This billet aluminum tank is designed to hold two separate grades of fuel allowing the NRE Maximus to be daily driven on 91 octane pump gas, or burn 116 octane race fuel when under boost.

The NRE Maximus is powered by a 2,000 horsepower, 9.4 liter Hemi V8 engine featuring twin NRE turbo chargers, twin water-to-air intercoolers, and a dual injection intake manifold

The 2,000 horsepower, 9.4 liter Hemi V8 engine features all alloy construction, twin NRE designed mirrored turbo chargers, twin water-to-air intercoolers, and a dual injection intake manifold designed by Tom Nelson. At the touch of a cockpit mounted button the driver is able to switch Maximus from a 600 horsepower, 91-octane gulping, daily driver to a 2,000 horsepower, 116 octane devouring beast. Maximus is said to accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in just two seconds. It is certified to run the ¼ mile in 8 seconds at NHRA sanctioned events and will reach a top speed of over 200 MPH its current form. Add on the MAXIMUS-SB AeroKit and this car should be capable of speeds in excess of 260 miles per hour.

Of course no Supercar would be complete without an interior that is equally as impressive as the car’s performance. Maximus will feature an extraordinary sound system, interior and exterior video with Cloud uplink, the latest in security technologies, and world-class upholstery that will rival the finest German luxury cars. All this, including the 6” wider body, will be accomplished while still retaining the essence, and vintage appeal, of the original 1968 Dodge Charger.

The Nelson Supercars Maximus 1968 Dodge Charger will be featured in the K&N Air Filters 2014 SEMA show booth, number 22943. Do not miss the opportunity to come see this work of automotive art up close and in person at the K&N SEMA show booth. Plus, the mad scientist/certifiable genius behind Maximus shouldn’t be too far away.
