The RoadRace Factory team concept was developed with the intent of providing a "next step" program to support top young guns coming up through the ranks. First started in 2011 the RoadRace Factory Redbull AMA Pro Road Racing team entered the inaugural MotoAmerica Road Racing 2015 season ready to do battle. The K&N equipped RoadRace Factory Redbull Team rider Jake Gagne made the step up to the larger displacement Yamaha R1 for the new 1000cc Superstock Class with hopes of becoming the first 1000cc Superstock Champion. 2014 Sportbike Rookie of the Year, Tomas Puerta returned to the K&N equipped RoadRace Factory Redbull team as the lead SuperSport rider.

Last year at Road America Jake Gagne pulled off a double victory in the 600 class and completely dominated from start to finish. As it turns out, 2015 would be no different for Jake Gagne at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The first two Superstock practice sessions were held on Friday this year for Road America, with the first session held under beautiful conditions while the afternoon session became less than ideal. In the afternoon wet weather rolled in and the track became soaked with rain. Once again on Saturday morning the practice and Superpole sessions were held in wet conditions. Temperatures plummeted 40 degrees from Friday and the winds became a factor on the long exposed sections of track. However, Jake's time in the previous three sessions meant he would be in the fast group competing for Pole Position. In the 15 minutes Jake was given to grab the best possible starting position he and his crew scored a P1 in his class and a P4 overall. Jake would start both races at Road America in the middle of the second row on Sunday.

Jake Gagne repeated race one's class win and secured another double victory at Road America putting Gagne 30 points ahead in the MotoAmerica Road Racing Superstock championship

On Sunday morning, the K&N equipped RoadRace Factory Redbull Team arrived at the track to find blue skies and sunshine. The temperature remained low, not expected to get over 50 degrees, but at least the rain had passed. Jake and the team switched back to their dry track setup and utilized all the available track time during their 20 minute morning warm-up to dial in the K&N equipped Yamaha R1. Whatever the team did worked as Jake went out and set a pace almost two seconds faster than his nearest rival. In the first of two races on Sunday Jake Gagne got a phenomenal start. Initially Gagne kept pace with the factory superbikes, but by the 1/3 race point he was losing sight of the lead group. Jake would continue to ride lap after lap as if he was being chased by hungry wolves. However, the faster factory supported Superbikes kept pulling away and eventually developed a major gap over Jake Gagne. At the checkers Jake crossed the line in first place for the Superstock class and in fourth overall.

Danny Walker, RoadRace Factory Redbull Team Manager, said of Gagne’s results “He pulled off the double here and it was awesome to see him on the podium with his dad. We still have room to grow with this program and I truly believe we haven't seen the full potential of this combination of Jake and the R1. Road America is so fast that we knew we'd be down on speed versus the bigger bikes, but Barber is a great place where speed advantages are minimized and I expect that we'll see a Superstock in the top three overall." Jake and the K&N supported RoadRace Factory Redbull Team are now focusing on the next round of MotoAmerica Road Racing at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama in a few weeks.

After a three-year absence from the United States the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon have been reintroduced for the 2015 model year. The standard engine for the 2015 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon is a 2.5L Ecotec inline four cylinder engine which first debuted in the 2013 Chevy Malibu and the Cadillac ATS. The available 305 horsepower 3.6-liter LFX V6 engine found in several other Buick, Cadillac, and Chevrolet models including the Camaro makes the 2015 and 2016 Colorado and Canyon the most powerful mid-size pickup currently available in North America. Even though the Colorado and Canyon best its competition by over 40 horsepower, there’s never any harm in improving performance.

In addition to the improved performance and high-flow design of K&N replacement air filters, the pleated construction allows K&N air filters to go longer than before service is required

The Harley-Davidson Motor Company has faced a lot of competition from Japanese motorcycle manufacturers for decades. Harley has maintained its grip on the more affluent purchasers of heavy-weight cruiser motorcycles; however the Motor Company was missing an opportunity to capture the attention of younger buyers. With smaller motorcycles from Yamaha and Honda taking a bite out of the Harley Sportster’s sales, the empire strikes back with a line of smaller, lighter, more affordable motorcycles, the Harley-Davidson Street family. The Harley-Davidson Street line, available in 500 or 750 cc versions, embodies Dark Custom attitude with liquid-cooled Harley-Davidson muscle built to conquer the urban world.

The most notable departure from traditional Harley engineering is the liquid-cooled, overhead camshaft, V-Twin engine used in the Harley-Davidson Street XG750 & XG500 Family

The most notable departure from traditional Harley engineering is the liquid-cooled, overhead camshaft, V-Twin engine used in the Harley-Davidson Street XG750 & XG500 Family

When developing the Street 500 and Street 750 motorcycles, Harley-Davidson broke away from many of its traditional characteristics. The most notable departure from traditional Harley engineering is the liquid-cooled V-Twin engine used in the Street Family. While a liquid cooled twin has been used in the Harley V-Rod line for years now, the Street 500 and Street 750 motorcycles use an all-new architecture. One of the main reasons for the liquid cooling and overhead camshafts, was the ability to squeeze additional power out of a smaller package. The Harley Street 750 produces power on par with its main competition, however owners of Harley Street 500 and Street 750 models should equip their bike with superior airflow and superior performance gained by installing a K&N high-flow replacement motorcycle air filter.

Installation of K&N replacement air filter, number HD-4915, for 2015 and 2016 Harley Street 750 & 500 models does not require additional modifications

Installation of K&N replacement air filter, number HD-4915, for 2015 and 2016 Harley Street 750 & 500 models does not require additional modifications for fitment or improved performance

In addition to the improved performance that results from the high-flow design of K&N replacement air filters, the pleated construction allows K&N air filters to go longer than stock filters before servicing is required. Plus, the ability to wash and reuse a K&N replacement air filter will save money on parts and maintenance over time. K&N replacement air filter HD-4915 is precision engineered to replace the factory disposable air filter and air filter backing plate of 2015 and Harley-Davidson XG750 and XG500 Street models with simple installation behind the factory air cleaner lid. Installation of K&N replacement air filter HD-4915 does not require additional modifications for fitment or improved performance. Just as they would when installing a factory Harley air filter, Harley Street owners will need to reuse the rubber gasket which seals the lid to the backing plate. Dropping in a K&N replacement air filter is one of the most straight forward and easy performance enhancements that 2015 and 2016 Harley-Davidson XG750 and XG500 Street owners can perform.
